ACI Wins Wisconsin Manufacturer Of The Year
Automation Components, Inc. (ACI) was amongst four Wisconsin manufacturing companies who were individually presented with this year’s Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award. The award ceremony took place on February 22nd at the Pfister hotel in downtown Milwaukee and was sponsored by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, Baker Tilly and Michael Best & Friedrich.
The awards consisted of four Grand Award winners, categorized by number of employees, who were recognized for impeccable business performance throughout the course of 2017. ACI took home the Grand Award in the Medium business category. “Winning this award is a huge acknowledgment. It embodies the hard work and dedication of a long-term group of great people” said ACI’s owner, Troy Schwenn. “We are all excited about our future, as ACI’s second generation of employees has the opportunity of raising the bar even higher.”
Schwenn stressed that ACI intuitively knows what the market needs and, as a result, has engineered a strong strategy for growth. “Most of our success stems from empowering our employees to challenge themselves to better their situation and the company” noted Schwenn. Schwenn continued to say, “Giving our employees a voice to positively impact the growth of ACI, has allowed us to provide the best product quality and customer service in our industry.”
Winning the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award not only recognized ACI as a thriving business, but also as a company who is making a significant impact in our local community. ACI’s greatest philanthropic efforts have come through their partnership with the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. The Schwenn Family, along with ACI, have setup a five-year ACI & Schwenn Family Professorship that commits to over $500,000. This donation will be matched dollar for dollar by another donor, totaling $1,000,000 in research funds. When discussing the Professorship, Schwenn noted “By building a solid foundation of philanthropy, we continue to champion the concept of looking past our own needs to better the situation of those who need additional support.”
