Q5 Series

The Q5 Series is a microprocessor based “smart” gas transmitter that is paired with either an electrochemical gas sensor for toxic gases, or a catalytic bead sensor for combustible gases. The Q5 Series offers numerous standard options in an IP66/NEMA 4X enclosure.

The custom designed enclosure includes two knock-outs on the back and each side. The sensor chamber is sealed water-tight as well as the top cover of the enclosure. Installation is easily accomplished with removable terminal blocks that are clearly labeled for proper wiring. Pre-calibrated sensors can be purchased and installed by the user thereby reducing calibration costs and minimizing downtime. A digital display (LCD), push-button programming and on-board meter jacks are all standard. The transmitter provides an analog output of 4-20 mA or 2-10 VDC, proportional to the measured gas range, for transmission to the control system.

The user can select from the menu of the digital display several screens that display relay status, time, TWA, STEL, concentration, and other data, or nothing at all. All programming and calibration is nonproprietary and is accessed through a user selectable password that protects system integrity.
