ACI Solutions for Critical Applications

Many engineers are currently searching for product recommendations for the construction of temporary isolation rooms to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

In recent weeks, ACI has received numerous inquiries about our how our products may be used in this and other critical applications. In response, we hosted a live webinar to discuss our Differential Low Pressure sensor series, Temperature/Relative Humidity (RH) product line and in-house NIST Certification capabilities that could be used in these applications.

Below you can watch a recording of the 22-minute webinar.

Negative Air Pressure Needs in Patient Isolation Rooms

Negative air pressure in a patient isolation room is necessary to keep dangerous pathogens in the air from moving into other areas in the building. This protects the health of both patients and staff.

Our Differential Low Pressure (DLP) transmitter can be used to monitor and manage negative air pressure in a patient isolation room. The DLP Series has a high level of accuracy, can be ordered with NIST Certification and is easy to install. Pressure accessories such as pitot tubes, pickup ports and medical grade tubing are also available.

Searching for something a little simpler? Consider ACI’s MLP2 Series of Low Pressure transmitters. These units are designed for panel-mount applications, feature a smaller footprint than the DLP and do not have a display – resulting in a lower cost for you.

Temperature and Relative Humidity Levels Can Influence Indoor Air Quality

Recently, we’ve heard a lot more about indoor air quality in regards to the overall occupant health. Indoor air quality can be viewed from many different perspectives which may also include occupant comfort or monitoring of particulates or outgassing of toxic substances into the air.

We’ve had many recent discussions with customers about how temperature and relative humidity can influence or limit the growth of bacteria and viruses. Call us to discuss. We’d like to hear from you!

ACI manufactures and carries a full line of high accuracy Temperature/RH sensors to meet your needs. Multiple configurations, outputs and NIST Certification are available as well.

What Types of Critical Environments are Customers Asking About?

We have heard from many of you and we look forward to speaking with many more. ACI’s sensors are designed for use in a variety of applications. Feel free to contact me or your ACI Sales Engineer to discuss.

We have been seeing a renewed focus on indoor air quality. In the past, indoor air quality was focused on energy efficiency, occupant comfort, VOCs or particulates. Now, customers are taking more of an all-encompassing view of indoor air quality to include occupant health and stopping the spread of germs.

Here are some examples where products discussed in this webinar have been used:

  1. Isolation Rooms
  2. Laboratories
  3. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing/Storage
  4. Room Differential Pressure
  5. Data Centers
  6. Indoor Air Quality
