Automation Components, Inc. was initially formed in 1991 in Middleton, Wisconsin. ACI also has offices as far reaching as Moncton, New Brunswick and Hong Kong, China. ACI has grown considerably each year since 1991 to become one of the leaders in the sensor industry and was twice named “Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year”. ACI’s number one goal is to maintain its status as a high quality sensor manufacturer. ACI’s sensors have been installed in well-known place
s such as Walt Disney, Rockefeller Plaza, Caesar’s Palace, The Sydney Opera House and The Library of Congress.
In 1991, ACI’s initial focus was to develop a
line of temperature sensors.
In 1996, ACI developed its first pressure transmitter, the ACI/DP. It combines jumper selectable ranges with a highly accurate capacitive sensor.
In 1999, ACI broke into the Relative Humidity market with a strong initial entry, the ACI/RH line. This product line is still making waves in the industry based on its reliability and performance.
In 2002, ACI used its experience with relative humidity sensing to design an enthalpy sensor. In addition, two sensors can be combined to provide a differential enthalpy using the ACI/DIFF-ENT.
In 2006, ACI made another big leap by introducing a line of Current Sensors and Switches. ACI expects big things from this entry as it has tested extremely well versus the competition.
Only time will tell what new products ACI will develop next. Based on past history, you can guess that it will be another high quality product for the HVAC/R Industry.
